Life Restored to the Hockey World

After months of frustration and anger, the hockey world has been reborn. The lockout, or rather, the battle of millionaires vs. millionaires over nothing but their millions, was finally put to an end on Sunday. I, like many, was awoken with the news that would keep a smile on my face for the rest of the day, and although I said throughout the entire ordeal that I couldn’t care less if there was a season this year, I can genuinely say that I am more than happy that hockey has been returned to us. I’m still pissed off, of course, and I firmly believe that it’s going to take the league a very long time to recover from this. Fans and money were lost, time was wasted, and all of us are still stuck with the question of “why?”. But regardless, I am still going to enjoy the season that we are given and be just as passionate for the sport that I love from now til the end of June. Here’s to a victorious and magical season that we’ve been waiting so long for.

12.17.11 vs. Buffalo

So we basically raped.

8-3 victory with goals coming from Engo, Despres, Williams, Kuni, and of course three beauties from Geno. It was a great night for hockey indeed, and just what the team needed after last night’s disaster. Unfortunately we added Adams to the list of injuries, but who didn’t see that coming, honestly. It’s not a hockey night in Pittsburgh without at least one fallen warrior. Anyways, the boys get a nice little break til Tuesday, see you then!

So when signing up for my job, it didn’t hit me that these vile people would be scheduling me during games- but whatever, happens to the best of us. Therefore, I didn’t actually get to sit down and watch the game until the second period. I wish I hadn’t at all.

First and foremost, what the actual fuck are these supposed to be?

Anyways, Ottawa scored in the first 0:25 seconds. I puked. Sullivan scored a minute and ten seconds later, followed by another Ottawa goal and I puked again. To sum things up, this happened throughout the entire period and the Sens lead 5-3 by the end of the ordeal.

Steigy, Errey, and the rest of the dipshits at Root bored us during intermission, once again.. and the third period was what really topped me off. We lost 6-4, but with all of that aside, here’s what’s happening people:

We played all of last season and so far all of this season depleted by injuries. Hell, Martin went down last night to add to the list. Our organization is a power house, lead by an incredible coaching staff, a general manager that other teams would commit mass genocide for, and an AHL team full of young talent that just keeps on giving. But it can only go on for so long before the mental/emotional aspect begins to kick in. With guys going down left and right, team morale is starting to go down. As part of the fan base, it’s no secret that all of us are a family. But even we are starting to get a little stir-crazy with what’s going on. Hopefully things will look up, and even if it doesn’t.. just remember:
